I can’t believe it’s been almost two years since we originally decorated Ada’s toddler bedroom. It’s one of those rooms that I’m always re-arranging, mostly trying to squeeze in Ada’s ever-growing soft toy collection. I also can’t help myself with forever wanting to buy cute things for her room!
It all started off after finding an incredible vintage rattan headboard. I wanted to try and get Ada excited about her own bedroom again; she hasn’t exactly outgrown her cotbed yet, but she has been crawling into our bed around midnight most nights. Perhaps a new bed might do the trick? Who knows, but we decided to get her a new single bed and get the headboard in situ.
I’m absolutely obsessed with this headboard. It was £40 which is just amazing, although it has made me want one for our bedroom too! I struggled for a while to find a bed it would suit, before deciding on a divan base. I chose one with no storage so I could have this one with little legs instead; I’m going to get some baskets for underneath to store bedding and some of Ada’s books. We got the mattress from the same shop too; it was fairly cheap and seems pretty good quality.
The canopy is something we’ve had for a while; after seeing them on a few online shops we picked up one super cheap on Ebay. It has a little flower garland around and some led star lights that we use as Ada’s nightlight.
I’ve added a few bits and pieces to the wall next to her bed to break up all the white. I put together the little floral wreath myself using some faux flowers and an embroidery hoop – I think it looks perfect next this lovely little wooden name plaque we were kindly gifted from Fox & Weave.

I’m sharing this side of her bedroom too, even though I want to get her a wardrobe soon. The drawers were great in her super tiny box nursery she used to be in, but this room is big enough for a wardrobe.
I do love this sweet little extending coat hook set though; I like to put some bags and her favourite dresses on, including the Romanilla girls dress from La Coqueta.
We treated Ada to some new bedding to go on her bed, too. I actually quite struggle to find sets to go in Ada’s room; there’s so many colours and patterns in her wallpaper, most of the time plain colours work best. I couldn’t resist this little star set from H&M. It was the scallop edging that sold it to me; so pretty! I’ve paired it with a navy blue washed linen pillowcase and an emerald green velvet cushion cover to match the colours on her walls.
I love the little updates we’ve made, and luckily Ada does too! She pretty much wouldn’t leave her bedroom after we set her new bed up; she just spent a good couple hours playing with some toys and reading her books.
What do you think of our updates to Ada’s toddler bedroom?
